8 Way's of Saving Money for Your Wedding Your wedding is supposed to be one of the best days of your life...a new beginning, but if you do not manage your finances properly it can be a financial nightmare!

In that attempt to make your day perfect, there are many ways where you can overspend and over shoot the budget, not saving enough for the post-wedding reality called 'LIFE'. These concerns of over spending can only arise if you have the money to spend, in the first place! So step one to plan any wedding is to save up the money for one and then budget and make sure you don't cross it.

As for how brides and grooms can save money during their wedding-planning, there are plenty of ways out there. To get you started here are 10 Way's on how you can save money for your Wedding Day:

1) Start a 'Wedding Fund ' piggy bank

Start by keeping a separate bank account or if your wedding is not too far away a box, piggy bank or jar aside for your wedding fund and seal it so your not tempted to take any out. It's best to have an opaque container so you can't see the contents and don't get tempted. Keep it someplace you'll see everyday reminding you to save.

All your wedding savings from the below points will go into this.

2) Pay Yourself

When you get paid at work...take a % out depending on your earning and most important expenses and put it in your box. When it's not in your savings account or wallet you won't spend it, out of sight is out of mind! Just like you pay your utility bills regularly...pay your self!

3) Save that Pocket Change!

Think a penny doesn't count? Think again. Empty out most of the loose change from your wallet daily into your Wedding Fund box. You'll be surprised at how quickly those loose coins add up.

4) Examine You Monthly Bills

Take a close look at you utility bills and other service bills for ways you can cut down. For example: Slow down your internet service. Try the slower internet service option with your cable company and you can put the savings towards your wedding fund per month. And most of the time you won't even notice a difference when surfing the Net.

Are you paying for telephone services that you hardly use or could do without...like call waiting? If you have cable, take a look at all the charges on your cable bill and consider getting rid of some of the services. Try it for a month and see if you really miss those last 500 channels.

Pay your credit card Bills in full so that you save on interest charges and put that saved money into your wedding fund!

5) Keep a Daily Log of Everything You Spend

One of the simplest but most powerful money making ideas is this: keep a daily log of everything you spend. Go to the dollar store and buy a little notebook and carry it with you wherever you go. Write down every penny - every single penny - you spend. It's as simple as that. There is something incredibly powerful about writing down all your expenditures. It makes the flow of money through your life more real and exact. It shows you simply and clearly just where you are spending your money, on what and why. Once you know that, it becomes much easier to control your spending and start saving.

6) Cut Down on Eating Out and Parties

Pack a lunch to work...and put what you would have spent otherwise on having lunch out in your saving box. Every time you have have an urge to go out partying or going for dinner with friends ask yourself do you really have to go?...if you choose to skip out put what you would have spent in the box. If you do go out...skip out on the appetizer's and alcohol add the savings to your fund.

7) Sell Your Junk.

That's right, it's high past time for a major yard sale. Search through your house or apartment for every single item you don't need, and could sell at a flea market or yard sale.

Take an inventory. The truth is, most people are astounded by what they own - and how much money they have tied up in useless stuff. Why let it collect dust in your attic while it could collect it and spend it on your dream wedding. You could easily be $500, $1,000 ... even $3,000 richer by the end of the week.

8) Balance vs. Bingeing

Sticking to a tight budget is very like dieting. If you're too strict with yourself, you can feel deprived, crack under the pressure and spend more than you've saved on a spree. You need to be having fun to stay positive, and you need to stay positive to make money. Saving small can save enough dollars to make a big difference to your wedding.
