Energy Star is an international standard for products which are energy efficient and it was first created in the United States under the Clinton administration in the year 1992. Although created in the United Sates, many other countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and the European Union have also adopted the program. Devices that carry the Energy Star logo are more efficient compared to similar products or devices.
